My cat wants to switch to a fresh food diet. How should I go about it?
1. Gradual Food Transition
Cats that have been on dry or canned food for a long time may have reduced tolerance to other foods due to dietary limitations. Suddenly switching their food can cause their digestive system to be unable to adapt. Therefore, it is essential to gradually transition them to fresh food. We recommend replacing 10% of their current food with fresh food daily. If their bowel movements are normal, increase to 20%, and so on, gradually increasing the replacement ratio until they are fully on fresh food.
